Hi,
I’m kinda uneasy about drinking raw egg whites… isn’t it dangerous to consume raw eggs? Could they be substituted with protein powder?
It would be interesting if you wrote an entry on powders, supplements, etc…
Thanks.

It is not dangerous to consume egg-whites, my brother has been using them in his shakes for years and he has never gotten sick. The salmonella tends to be found in the yolk of the egg, rather than the egg-white part. Protein powders work just as good though, I just find that it’s less expensive to use eggs rather than purchasing an expensive supplement.
I will definitely do a post on supplements and powders, thanks for the suggestion!

You can buy pasteurized egg whites in a carton at your local supermarket.
Much safer that way 🙂
